READ-A-THON!
Pick a book that's been languishing on your shelf for ages and see how much of it you can read today - in queues, waiting for the bus, on your lunch break, your toilet breaks... Tell us how far you get!
Even before I found out about today's New Year Revolution challenge I promised myself that 2012 would be the year that I read 'Anna Karenina' by Leo Tolstoy. See, about 3 years ago my parents gave me 'Anna Karenina' for Christmas. I remember starting it but after becoming exceedingly busy with life I completely forgot about it. Since then I've always intended to go back and finish it but never did; I always found another book more important to read. This challenge was a great catalyst to force myself to sit down and actually start to make headway with this promise.
I didn't read as much as I'd hoped I would - I read about 40 pages - but it's a start and I'm really happy with that. Plus it's a MASSIVE novel - it's over 800 pages - so...baby steps, yeah?
But this is the year the magic happens!
2012!
THIS IS THE YEAR!
