I spend a CRAZY amount of time on the internet and over the past month I've watched YouTubers, namely missxrojas, partake in this thing called 'New Year Revolution.' Basically, what happened was throughout January people were set challenges according to whether they were interested in trying new things, wanted to save a bit of money, or become a fitter person overall. Every day was a new challenge and participants were asked to share their experiences. I found the 'Try Something New' challenges particularly interesting and found myself more and more envious as the month progressed. I mean, it looked liked fun and who doesn't love a little challenge every now and then?
So, because of this, I've decided that I'm going to do these challenges throughout the month of February. I will also document my successes and failures in some capacity - produce photo evidence, write an entry in my blog here, or, if I'm feeling particularly daring, perhaps make a video (I'm a non-skilled video-maker. You have been warned.).
This could go two ways: it could be totally awesome or it could be an epic fail. But either way, I'm going to give it a go. So, feel free to come along for the ride or even JOIN ME. Let's pretend February is actually January and let the 2012 revolution begin!
DAY #1
JUST SAY THANKS
Say thank you to someone you've always meant to thank, but never quite got round to it. An old teacher? A long-lost friend? Your mum?
I decided to thank hayleyghoover, another YouTuber, because not only is she fucking hilarious she's always inspired me to be the most awesome version of myself (I'm a big ol' sap)... and I've never really reached out and sent her a message before to thank her. CHANGING THAT.
