Day #17

GET PLAYFUL

Learn to play a game you've never played before. You could try cribbage, backgammon, medieval battle re-enactments... (Video games aren't allowed, we're talking old-school!)

Wassup, players?

I asked one of my friends tonight whether she knew of any cool games and she told me about a couple of games that she and some of her friends have made up. The first was called 'Liam's Game'. In this game a person thinks of any object or place or thing or (even) concept and everyone has to guess what the person is thinking of. The person is only allowed to answer 'yes' or 'no'. Essentially it's a more intense version of 20 questions because the 'thing' could be absolutely anything and instead of only having 20 questions to work out what the 'thing' is, you can ask an infinite amount of questions.

The second game was along similar lines. It was called the 'Dictionary Game'. One person has hold of a dictionary and reads out a definition of any word in that dictionary. The game is to guess what word corresponds to that definition. It's like a lax version of doing a crossword or something.

It was a totally interesting experience and reminded me how lame I can sometimes be - I haven't made up a game in years! I should get around to doing that. I haz imagination. I could make the best game ever.

And on a completely irrelevant note, I just read this on my facebook.

Immediate nostalgia, man. IMMEDIATE.
